Scenario 3C – Direct instruction
Completion requirements
Direct instruction is essential when learners need clear guidance, explanations, or modeling of complex procedures. In online/blended courses, this can take the form of multimedia resources, demonstrations, and clarifications.
- Well–structured video/audio lectures
Short, focused video or audio lectures can introduce concepts or provide overviews. Hosting them via H5P interactive video or embedding external URLs makes them accessible and engaging.
Recommended tools: H5P – URL. - Demonstrations of procedures or concepts (declarative knowledge)
Practical demonstrations–such as step–by–step procedures or conceptual models–help learners visualize how knowledge is applied. These can be uploaded as H5P resources or shared as Files for easy access.
Recommended tools: H5P – File. - Clarifications of common misconceptions (declarative knowledge)
Misconceptions often block understanding. Teachers can use Quizzes with feedback or dedicated Pages to address frequent errors, provide clarifications, and reinforce accurate understanding.
Recommended tools: Quiz – Page.
