While quantitative survey results provide an overview of trends, they often lack the depth needed to fully understand students’ experiences. To complement these insights, teachers can invite learners to provide openended comments or reflections.

For example, additional fields can be added to the survey to capture qualitative data, or a followup discussion forum may be opened where learners can elaborate on their answers. A collaborative Glossary could also be used to collect recurring themes and keywords, creating a shared space for reflection. This qualitative dimension helps to contextualize numerical scores and provides a richer basis for interpreting the data.
