Scenario 4A – Administer the CoI Survey at mid–course and end–of–course
Applying the CoI Survey at different stages of the course allows teachers to capture both formative and summative perspectives. A mid–course administration provides timely feedback that can inform adjustments while the course is still running, whereas an end–of–course administration allows for a summative reflection on the effectiveness of the design and facilitation strategies.
By embedding the questionnaire or feedback activity into your online/blended course, teachers can ensure that participation is easy and accessible. Results from the mid–course survey can be discussed with learners to demonstrate transparency and responsiveness, thereby reinforcing trust and engagement.
