Social Presence becomes stronger when learners feel supported by their peers and when they see themselves as contributors to a collective journey. Encouraging peer feedback and mutual assistance creates a culture of care and reciprocity, which is fundamental in sustaining motivation and engagement.

Teachers can design activities where students are asked to respond to each other’s forum posts, comment on assignments, or provide suggestions for improvement. Structured peer review activities, using rubrics and guided criteria, help students develop critical reflection skills while ensuring constructive and respectful feedback.

To further encourage this behaviour, recognition strategies such as awarding digital badges or acknowledging contributions in announcements can be adopted. These practices not only reward individual effort but also reinforce the idea that supporting one another is a valued component of the learning process.
